| 06.10.08 「DAYBREAK CHART POSITION」 |

Tanaka's fantastic mini album, DayBreak, debuted on the Oricon charts at a disspointing #84, selling two thousand copies. There was some sort of distribution problem in the beginning of the week, which may have had some effect on the first week sales. Hopefully the album will do better this week.

BF / GF was the 37th most popular Chaka UTA ringtone in the month of April.
Roma will promote his new album on the following TV shows: (May 18th) The 座 - チバテレビ. (May 19th) HEY! HEY HEY. (May 23rd) MUSIC JAPAN.
Roma performed Ozaki Yutaka's classic song, I Love You, a while ago on a radio show - click here to listen to Roma's brilliant rendition on YouTube.

| 04.21.08 「MINI ALBUM & BLOGGIN'」 |

Tanaka Roma's new mini album, due to be released on June 4th, is entitled 「DAYBREAK」. It was originally going to be called My Sunset, but they decided to highlight the producer of BF/GF instead.
The mini-album cuts Beautiful You and My Sunset will showcase the direction Roma wants to go with his music. The sound has been described as "alternative rock /country-ish type of sound." It's still POP, but you can definately hear the influence.
Roma updated his myspace blog with a little more info on the mini album and what's going on behind the scenes. A must read.
Melody updated her myspace blog with this message:
"And then, after I came back into town, I had a rehearsal with Roma Tanaka!!
We went into the studio and practiced singing our duet together. It was a while since the last time i saw him so i had such a good time. seriously, once we start talking, we cant stop! just non stop! anyways, the Roma's next single is a duet we did together, so hope you all can check it out ok??

King Records has announced a new Tanaka Roma mini-album to be released on June 4th. According to CDJournal, the yet untitled album will include the a-sides and b-sides from his post Keep On singles and a bonus DVD containing his MV videography.
Releasing a mini-album doesn't seem like the smartest move to me... :/

Roma has been cast in the upcoming Japanese production of the musical RENT, which will run between Nov.7 and Dec.8 2008.
Other stars who also have joined the cast include; K, Ryohei, Mizrock, and more. For more info, visit the official website.
Rent is a rock musical, with music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson inspired by Giacomo Puccini's opera La bohème. It tells the story of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York's Lower East Side in the thriving days of the Bohemian East Village, under the shadow of AIDS.
Roma will play the character Angel, a cross-dressing percussionist with AIDS. ///
